האתר dlema.app

Accessibility Statement
Last updated: October 14, 2026
We want Dlema to be easy for everyone to use, including people with disabilities. The app and website were adapted following Israel's Equal Rights for Persons with Disabilities (Service Accessibility) Regulations, 2013, and the Israeli Standard IS 5568, which is based on the WCAG guidelines at level AA. We work to WCAG 2.1 level AA.
What we did in the app
- All buttons, icons and tabs are read by screen readers (VoiceOver on iPhone, TalkBack on Android), in Hebrew or English, following the app's language.
- Each place card is read as one sentence: name, food type, area, price, open or closed, distance. You can add it to favorites from the card with a screen-reader action.
- Open / closed / closing soon always appear in words, never by color alone.
- Text color contrast of at least 4.5:1, in light and dark mode.
- Touch targets of at least 44 points.
- Text grows with the phone's text-size setting, up to 2× (large titles up to 1.5×).
- The "Reduce Motion" setting is respected: no typing or fade-in animations.
- Dark mode, and the app fully works without location permission.
- A clear message when there's no internet, and a "try again" screen instead of a blank screen if something goes wrong.
What isn't accessible yet
- Place photos (from Google Maps) have no text description of what's in them. Screen readers say "Photo 1 of 6 of [place name]".
- The map: screen readers read the place names on the pins, but moving around the map itself is limited. All places are also available in lists and search.
- Outside websites the app opens (Ontopo, Tabit, Google Maps, restaurants' sites) aren't under our control.
- The reading order of some Hebrew rows is still being checked.
The dlema.app website
The website is simple text with headings and lists, and works with screen readers, text zoom and keyboard navigation.
